Readme for Personal Online Database

Please note that this package contains 3 different packages. POD_Win32.zip is intended for use on Win32 (Win9x/00/NT) operating system. POD_BSD_shared is intended for use on FreeBSD operating system that has gcc 3.0.4 shared libaries installed.  POD_Linux_shared is intended for use on Linux operating system that has gcc 3.0.1 shared libaries installed. Please go to www.ming-yi.org/download.html to download POD for Linux or FreeBSD, static versions if you do not have the required gcc shared libaries.  FreeBSD version was compiled by gcc 3.0.4 on FreeBSD 4.5 for i386. Linux version was compiled by gcc 3.0.1 on Redhat Linux 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7) for i386.

Please select the appropriate zip package for your OS and unzip the files to a temporary directory.  Then read the readme.html inside the package for specific instructions. Thanks for evaluating POD!
